Why is the Pionix Cloud separate from a CPMS?

CPMS platforms are run by CPOs to manage commercial transactions like billing and authorization. The Pionix Cloud is the manufacturer's engineering and 3rd-level support access to the devices they built. The CPMS handles the commercial conversation; the CMC handles the engineering one.

Does the platform work with non-EVerest hardware?

The Pionix Cloud comes pre-configured for EVerest. Technically it works with any Linux-based, internet-connected charger: optimized for EVerest, open beyond it.

How does the platform handle security and isolation for cloud access?

Pionix Cloud applies Kubernetes network policies and content filters on incoming firmware to restrict unauthorized access paths. Provisioning is automated through an autoscaler that allocates a dedicated node per customer, preventing cross-container access.

Can we test specific protocol variations and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) paths?

Yes. The Virtual Charger Park runs production-grade EVerest code as a true digital twin. You can configure single-port AC or dual DC setups, simulate EV behaviors, and validate OCPP 1.6J, 2.0.1, 2.1 and ISO 15118 paths.
