The Hardest Moment in a Charger's Life Comes Right After the Factory: Introducing the Pionix Cloud
Manufacturers know how to fix it. Operators can see it. For years they've been kept on opposite sides. Next week, the Pionix Cloud puts them back together.

On June 23, 2026, at Power2Drive in Munich, we're launching the Pionix Cloud: a production-grade, white-label "Manufacturer Cloud" that gives charger makers the engineering and support depth they've always needed in the field, without the costly, multi-year in-house backend build it usually takes to get there.
You don't have to wait for the show floor to get started. Registration is open now, and you can connect your first chargers.
Two Worlds Split Apart
The moment a charger leaves the factory, something strange happens. The two groups who could keep it healthy get separated.
Manufacturers know exactly how to fix the core issues (they designed the thing), but they lose visibility the second it ships. Operators, on the other hand, hold the logs and the field access, but they can't reach into the firmware. The people who can fix it and the people who can see it end up on opposite sides of a wall.
That wall is expensive. Engineering teams stay responsible for a charger model long after Start-of-Production (SOP). They still field support cases. They still chase edge cases that only ever show up in the wild. But the tooling they rely on during development (real-time log capture, remote debugging, deep diagnostics) almost never makes it past the factory gate. What's left is a long, tedious, costly tail of post-SOP work that quietly drains resources.
The Pionix Cloud bridges that gap across the entire product lifecycle. The depth your engineers rely on in the lab now stays with them once the fleet is live, and it runs alongside your CPMS as a complementary, manufacturer-owned channel.
Software Agility, All the Way Into the Field
We took the concepts that make modern software development fast (CI/CD, remote access, staged rollouts, instant rollbacks) and carried them into the charger world, from first prototype deep into the deployed fleet.
It comes in two views:
Charger Device Cloud (CDC): for development. CDC unifies your globally scattered development and test hardware into a single, centralized cloud view. It automates firmware distribution, provides secure SSH access, real-time telemetry, and remote configuration management. Native CI/CD integration plugs straight into your existing pipelines, so you can test every code commit against real hardware in minutes instead of days.
Charger Maintenance Cloud (CMC): for the live fleet. Modern 99%+ uptime SLAs demand a reliable, manufacturer-owned diagnostic channel. Without lab-grade visibility into active units, every field error turns into a slow manual investigation, or an expensive technician dispatched to the curb. CMC carries highly granular diagnostics, configuration, and OTA capabilities directly into the active fleet, keeping a direct line to your devices regardless of which CPMS the operator runs. Pair that with fine-grained access control, and you can safely scale support across a large, cross-organizational team.
The Pionix Cloud is purpose-built for EVerest, enabling frictionless integration, while still letting you onboard legacy non-EVerest chargers so you don't fragment your fleet.
What's Inside
🔧 Unified Development & Testing
Pool globally scattered test hardware into a single fleet with full inventory visibility, and use CI/CD to test every commit against real chargers.
🔐 Remote Access & Security
Manage chargers over SSH with real-time logs, governed by fine-grained, role-based, asset-level access controls, with temporary escalation when you need it.
🛰️ OTA & Firmware Orchestration
Roll out fleet-wide updates with strict version control, automated staged canary rollouts, and one-click rollbacks.
🔍 Deep Diagnostics & Remote Resolution
Inspect hardware and firmware in real time, beneath the standard OCPP layer, over a secure backup channel, and resolve errors without sending anyone to the field.
⚙️ Dynamic Fleet Configuration
Remotely update CPMS/CSMS endpoints, security certificates, and runtime parameters across your entire fleet.
To Be Clear: We Are Not a CPMS
This is the question we get most, so let's settle it. The Pionix Cloud is not a Charge Point Management System, and it doesn't compete with one.
A CPMS manages the commercial relationship between operators and chargers: tariffs, roaming, billing. The Pionix Cloud does something entirely different: it gives the manufacturer's engineering teams, 3rd-level support, and external service partners device-level access along the whole support chain.
These roles are structurally separate. CPO-managed CPMS data doesn't scale for manufacturer needs, and OCPP simply wasn't built for low-level firmware introspection. Completely decoupled from commercial operations, CMC runs in parallel as a complementary, redundant channel that enhances your existing CPMS software rather than replacing it.
Our partners feel this directly:
"To win high-stakes commercial B2B tenders, our service partners require independent device control completely decoupled from third-party CPMS backends. Adopting the Pionix Cloud lets us bypass in-house development overhead and immediately deliver on PLUON's core philosophy: a 10-year hardware repair promise with drastically lower total cost of ownership."
Rudy Bonten, CEO PLUON
Part of the Bigger Picture: Software-Defined Charging
Software-Defined Charging decouples charging logic from hardware. It stands on a layered foundation: EVerest open-source firmware, hardware enablers like the Pionix ChargeBridge, and cloud platforms for everything that happens off-device.
The Pionix Cloud spans that whole off-device lifecycle: CDC for development, CMC for active fleets, and the Virtual Charger Park (VCP) for large-scale virtual testing. Together they cover the complete software lifecycle of an EVerest charger, from the first line of code to a fleet running in the field for a decade.
With 100,000+ EVerest chargers already deployed, we're making this platform available to the entire global EVerest community.
Register Now
We've field-tested the Pionix Cloud internally and with early adopters, and it's dramatically shortened the road from first prototype to series production. On June 23 it goes live for everyone, and you can claim your spot today.
It will be free for lab-scale use, up to 10 chargers in the EVerest community, with paid commercial tiers for larger deployments.
