Powering Nidec’s Revolutionary DC Fast Chargers

Nidec Conversion’s next-generation DC fast chargers are live, and the software backbone behind them is EVerest. The chargers are built on Nidec’s DC Split architecture, which separates power units from dispensers so operators can scale each independently. Individual charge points reach 480 kW and beyond.

Pionix supported Nidec with an EVerest-based software stack, stabilized and hardened for production. The stack handles OCPP 2.0.1 and ISO 15118 communication across the distributed setup, with TPM integration and X.509 certificate updates built in from the start. Our engineers worked alongside Nidec’s team on module configuration, power management across multiple charging points, and simulation environments that shortened testing cycles.
